Lifetime Limited Warranty
For As Long As You Live in Your Home. Note, the lifetime warranty is transferable should you ever sell your home! Here's a copy of our warranty in PDF format. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state. Progressive Window Company warrants to you, the original purchaser of the Schuco Window or Patio Door that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as you own and reside in the home in which the products were installed as follows:

Basic Frame Of Window Unit Or Patio Door – Lifetime: The rigid vinyl in the window or patio door is warranted against chipping, cracking, peeling, pitting, warping or blistering for as long as you own and reside in the house in which these products were installed, for as long as these products are properly maintained. This limited warranty is not applicable to damage caused by accident, fire, flood, acts of God, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, riots, civil disorder, pollution, or other external forces .

Moving Parts – Lifetime: Moving parts, such as balances that are used on double hung windows and locking mechanisms used in all windows or patio doors, are warranted for as long as you own and reside in the house in which the products were installed. This limited warranty is not applicable to normal wear and tear or to any damage caused by improper installation, improper cleaning, accident, fire, flood, acts of God, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, riots, civil disorder, pollution or other external forces.

Insulated Glass Unit – Lifetime: The sealed insulated glass unit is warranted against defects resulting in material obstruction of vision from film formation caused by dust or moisture in the sealed unit which exceed the federal specification C1036-90, for as long as you own and reside in the residence in which the windows were originally installed. The sealed insulated glass unit is warranted against accidental breakage. This warranty is not applicable to any damage caused by fire, flood, acts of God, explosion, abuse, vandalism, riots, or civic disorder.

Bay, Bow and Garden Windows: All moving parts are warranted as described above under “Moving Parts”. All insulated glass units are warranted as described above under “Insulated Glass Unit”. All vinyl-framing components are warranted as described above under “Basic Frame Of Window Unit Or Patio Door”. Wood window frames are warranted to be structurally sound for five years from date of original purchase. This limited warranty is not applicable to damage caused by improper installation, accident, fire, flood, acts of God, explosion, misuse, abuse, vandalism, riots, civil disorder, pollution, or other external forces or to damage due to improper, incomplete or negligent maintenance.

Condensation: Condensation on any window or patio door is the natural result of excessive moisture in the house, and does not indicate a defective product or faulty installation. Excessive condensation may even result in frost appearing on windows in cold weather. Schuco Homecraft is not responsible for condensation and this warranty does not apply to condensation, its causes or its effects. Additional information concerning condensation is available upon request.

Cleaning: To clean glass, use soft cloth with glass cleaner or vinegar/water solution. To clean vinyl, use mild soapy water solution, rinse with clear water and dry with clean paper towels. There is no need to use standard household cleaners. This warranty does not apply to damage due to improper, incomplete or negligent cleaning.

Color: This vinyl will maintain its manufactured color closely as it ages. However, atmospheric pollution and residues deposited on the windows can temporarily discolor it. Mild soaps or detergents are usually all that are necessary to restore its lustrous manufactured color.

Important Notice: Windows that exceed the manufacturer’s specified size limitations are not covered under this warranty.

Note: Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusions, limitations of incidental or consequential damages so that the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
